  • We love visiting Pudsey Park in the spring, typically around April or May, to see the blossom in full bloom.

We usually park on the roadside. Despite it being a busy road, it’s generally easy to find a spot. There is a small kerb to get onto the path, but once you’re on it, the walk into the park is short and pleasant.

Inside the park, the paths are well-maintained, stable tarmac, and fairly level. There isn’t a designated route; the paths weave around the park, inviting a relaxed wander. We enjoy meandering through, stopping on benches under the trees to soak in the scenery.

You can often grab an ice cream, watch lawn bowls, or see the wire statue of Pudsey Bear, famous from Children in Need. In early spring, the flowers around him are just starting to grow, so he may appear ‘naked’ until they blooms. The park also features a small bandstand, which is accessible via a ramp, and several recently installed picnic tables, ideal for a spot of outdoor dining.

Pudsey Park is often quiet, giving dogs like Betty the freedom to explore safely at the end of a lead. She loves trotting ahead, sniffing around, then returning to check we’re still nearby.

We love taking photos of the vibrant spring colours, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and looking forward to the warmer months ahead.

If you’re in the area during spring, we highly recommend a visit, especially if you have a camera handy to capture the beautiful blossom!

Tip: Don’t forget your camera for those perfect blossom shots!
